Our 3D sculpted elements are protected by a proprietary hardcoat, engineered to endure heavy daily use in high-traffic environments like dental offices, museums, and libraries. This flexible, rubber-like shell won’t crack or shatter—it absorbs impact and maintains its finish even under pressure.
Internally, sculptures are reinforced with a wood-and-steel frame, giving each piece long-term structural strength while keeping it lightweight for shipping and installation.

EASY TO CLEAN, EASY TO MAINTAIN
Every IDS product is designed with caregivers and custodians in mind. From busy dental practices to high-traffic waiting rooms, our environments are easy to clean and maintain.
Our products are designed not only to be beautiful, but practica, especially in spaces where cleanliness matters most, like pediatric clinics, therapy offices, libraries, and public attractions.
3D Sculptures
All sculpted elements are sealed with our proprietary, high-performance hardcoat. This tough, rubber-like coating resists scuffs, scratches, and impact damage while making cleaning easy:
- Normal cleaning: Use a soft cloth or microfiber towel with warm water and mild soap.
- Disinfection: Most sculptures can be sanitized with diluted bleach (up to 10%) or hospital-grade disinfecting wipes such as CaviWipes.
- What to avoid: Abrasive scrubbers, harsh chemicals, or alcohol-based cleaners can dull or damage the protective finish. Never use steel wool or scouring pads.
Murals and Wall Graphics
Our custom murals are printed on commercial-grade vinyl and finished with a protective laminate that resists UV damage, moisture, and surface wear.
- Spot cleaning: Gently wipe with a damp sponge or soft cloth using soap and water.
- Stain removal: For tougher marks, use a non-abrasive cleaner like Simple Green or a diluted vinegar solution.
- Pro tip: Avoid soaking mural edges or seams to maintain adhesion over time.
We also provide aftercare instructions with every project, and our team is always available for touch-ups or repairs.
CARE & MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
GENERAL GUIDELINES
For best results, wait at least two weeks after install before washing. Always test your cleaning solution and technique in an inconspicuous area to ensure that it does not damage the finish. Avoid using abrasive cleaners on all surfaces and clean ONLY with a soft, damp (not soaking wet) sponge or cloth.
Do not overwork the surface as scuffing may occur. This could potentially void all warranty.
CLEANING INTERIOR & EXTERIOR MURALS
Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild, soapy water. Apply gentle pressure when wiping. Wash your murals from top to bottom and avoid unnecessary scrubbing. Rinse with clean water.
Do not overwork the surface or use abrasive scrubbers, as scuffing may occur. This could potentially void all warranty.
CLEANING INTERIOR 3D PROPS WITH DAY TO DAY GRIME, HEAVY SOILING, AND GRAFFITI
Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild, soapy water to a general-purpose household cleaner. Apply gentle pressure when wiping. Heavy duty cleaning, penetrating stains, and marks may be removed by carefully using a nonabrasive cleaner and water or solution of household bleach diluted with water. Rinse with clean water.
Do not overwork the surface, as paint scuffing may occur. This could potentially void all warranty.
CLEANING EXTERIOR 3D PROPS
Remove dirt using a soft bristle brush and detergent solution by working in smooth up-and-down or side-to-side motion. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary. Heavy duty cleaning, penetrating stains, and marks may be removed by carefully using a nonabrasive cleaner and water or solution of household bleach diluted with water.
Rinse with clean water.

CLEANING BENCH UPHOLSTERY
Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild, soapy water. Apply gentle pressure when wiping. Rinse the soap off with fresh water from a damp, soft cloth and towel dry. Do not allow liquid to pool on the surface.
Do not overwork the surface, as color loss may occur. This could potentially void all warranty.
CLEANING FOLIAGE
Run over artificial foliage with a feather duster. Attach a cleaning brush to a vacuum and suck up dust, dirt, and debris. Wipe down leaves and stems with a dry microfiber cloth or wet rag. Avoid using abrasive cleaners on all surfaces of foliage.
Do not overwork the surface, as leaf loss may occur. This could potentially void all warranty.
CLEANING BENCH UPHOLSTERY
Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild, soapy water. Apply gentle pressure when wiping. Rinse the soap off with fresh water from a damp, soft cloth and towel dry. Do not allow liquid to pool on the surface.

CLEANING ELECTRONICS & GAMES
ELECTRONICS: NunoErin LIGHT BENCHES
Spray the top and side surfaces with a multi-surface cleaner and wipe using a soft cloth. Recommended cleaners include Fantastik household cleaner, and Formula 409 household cleaner.
For disinfecting SaniCloth® AF3 Germicidal Disposable Wipes, Steris Coverage Plus® and Clorox Healthcare® Hydrogen Peroxide Cleaner Disinfectant Wipes are also recommended.
Do not use strong acidic or solvent based cleaners, such as methyl chloride or acetone.
Superficial scratches on the top surface only can be removed by rubbing a wet 7448 Scotch Brite pad in a circular motion until the scratches disappear, followed by spraying with a multi-surface cleaner and wiping dry with a soft cloth.
Never use abrasive cleaners on the laminate sides, which will dull or damage the finish.

ELECTRONICS: NunoErin TABLET SCREENS
Note: Ensure that the tablet is powered off during cleaning.
For cleaning the housing parts and bracket, please use a clean soft cloth and alcohol with a 75% concentration.
To clean the tablet screen, use a neutral detergent or isopropyl alcohol on a clean soft cloth. Do not use any kind of chemical solvent, acidic or alkali solution.
Spray the top and side surfaces with a multi-surface cleaner and wipe using a soft cloth.

Every element we create is designed with children’s safety at the forefront, from the materials we choose to the way we install each piece.
Non-Toxic, Low-VOC Materials
We only use paints, coatings, adhesives, and finishes that are:
- Low-VOC (volatile organic compounds)
- Lead-free and phthalate-free
- Certified non-toxic once cured, meeting or exceeding ASTM and CPSIA safety standards (see more below)
This means our products are safe for children to touch, play near, and interact with daily, without introducing harmful emissions or chemical exposure into indoor environments.
Smooth, Rounded Designs
Our sculptures and props are intentionally crafted with:
- No sharp edges or pinch points
- Smooth transitions and rounded corners
- Seamless construction where possible, to eliminate places where dirt can collect
This makes our environments ideal for pediatric medical spaces, daycares, libraries, and anywhere kids gather and play.
Secure Mounting & Stability
Every installation is securely anchored, and our design team works closely with facility managers and contractors to ensure:
- Wall-mounted and freestanding pieces are properly reinforced or attached to the floor
- Elements are installed to prevent tipping, pulling, or climbing hazards
- Electrical components (when used) are CSA/UL certified and safely enclosed
- ADA compliance for clear and safe pathways around 3D sculptures

3D ELEMENTS
Our 3D sculptures are carved from expanded polystyrene foam (EPS), a rigid, lightweight, closed cell foam.
Expanded Polystyrene Foam
Flame & Toxicity
This product is considered non-hazardous under the OSHA Hazard communication Standard (29CFR 1910.1200).
Class 1 or A 20 Flame Spread Index <450 Smoke Developed Index per ASTM E-84.
Closed cell insulation resists moisture. Does not support growth of mold.
PROTECTIVE HARDCOAT
To protect our 3D sculptures we use both a textured and smooth spray on resin hardcoat.
Textured Hardcoat
Our textured hardcoat is a two component, spray-in place, flexible, 100% solids polyether, polyester epoxide polyurea which creates a skin with chemical resistance and moisture protection, plus protection against abrasion and impact.
Flame & Toxicity
It has flame retardant properties. It has been tested for flame spread and smoke density per ASTM E-84.
The product contains zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds).
PAINT & CLEARCOAT
We use an ultra low VOC acrylic polyurethane specifically formulated for schools and hospitals and high gloss clear coat for the ultimate protection.
Paint
Our paint is a high performance, 100% Acrylic Latex Waterborne finish formulated with latex resin and ceramic microsphere technologies that provide superior resistance to stains.
Toxicity
It is formulated to contain near zero VOC’s. This product is lead free and resists mildew, moisture, and dirt.
Clear Top Coat
Our clear coat produces an unsurpassed hard, durable finish with excellent gloss, scratch, and chemical resistance and DOI. Light stabilizers provide UV protection. This product resists chlorine, moisture, weathering, and graffiti.
Toxicity
The product contains low 3.5 VOC’s.
MURALS & GRAPHICS
Our murals are printed on a pressure-sensitive vinyl with a protective laminate.

Eco-solvent Ink
This vinyl resists mild alkalis, mild acids, and salt with excellent resistance to water. Use a cleaner designed for high-quality painted surfaces. The cleaner must be wet, non-abrasive, without strong solvents, and have a pH value between 3 and 11.

Kidzpace Touch2Play Pro
Wall mounted 15” touchscreen game system with mounting cabinet. With 40 games that are either educational or improve hand eye coordination.

Ceiling-mounted projector and sensor system turns the floor into an interactive gaming surface. The system features an ultra-bright LED bulb for long life (12-18 months), along with a selection of up to 30 interactive games. Litezilla
Large-scale, wall-mounted interactive light wall. Rainbow-colored LitePins (1” in diameter) are inserted into the grid to create illuminated pictures and patterns. Available in 4’ x 5’, 6’ x 5’, 8’ x5’,8’ x 6’, 12’ x 6’, 16 × 6’. Custom sizes also available. Runs on standard 110v power.
TREE FOLIAGE
For our plants and trees we use various styles of commercial grade artificial foliage for indoor use.
